Here's a little tut I made on how to start your screensaver instantly.

Why should I use a Screen Saver? - Screen savers were made to prevent monitor burn-in, that could happen if a single image was displayed most of the time. Over time that image could be etched into the monitor's pixels, making the monitor harder to use and harder to see things.
I shall thank Microsoft for providing me with the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th pic, because my Search dosn't work...
1. Go to Start> search
2.Click all files and folders
3. Type in *.scr
4. Right click the 4th hit, and send it to the desktop.
